For your invention to qualify for a patent registration

  • it must fulfill at least one of the following: Machinery and Mechanics: your invention must include parts that move (such as the gears in a watch or a car engine).
  • Articles of manufacture: Non-working part(s) of an object that stay in position. They might be fixed to the body of an object but could also be independent. Examples include bolts, screws, clips, etc.

You must get your patent registered as soon as your last prototype is finished. Why? If you bear the only copy, your local patent office will immediately give you approval.
